About AIMC
The AI Music Creativity (AIMC) conference originates from the integration of the Musical Metacreation (MuMe) workshop and the Computer Simulations of Musical Creativity (CSMC) conference. The computational simulation of musical creativity continues to be an exciting and significant area of academic research, and is now making impacts in commercial realms. Such systems pose several theoretical and technical challenges, and are the result of an interdisciplinary effort that encompasses the domains of music, artificial intelligence, design, cognitive science and philosophy. This can be seen within the broader realm which studies the design and use of such generative tools and theories for music making: discovery and exploration of novel musical styles and content, collaboration between human performers and creative software “partners”, and design of systems in gaming and entertainment that dynamically generate or modify music.

Proceedings
The proceedings of the AIMC 2026 will be published on the SPKtrum repository of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation.
Journal of Creative Music Systems
AIMC is affiliated with the Journal of Creative Music Systems (JCMS; https://www.jcms.org.uk/), which aims to advance the development and understanding of computational creative systems in the domain of music.
AIMC 2026 paper authors are welcome to submit revised and expanded versions of their papers for consideration by JCMS. Please see the Author Guidelines for more information.
As a voluntary organisation, JCMS is keen to expand its editorial team and panel of reviewers. Please contact the editors if you are interested in becoming involved.
